This engagement session is what a photographer's dream is made of (more specifically my dreams). It was a very warm July day and the engagement session got a little toasty, so we needed to cool off in the water, but then it got even hotter. The temperature had nothing on the two.

She said that she knew Aaron was the one for her shortly after a trip to look for sea glass on a local beach for Aaron's mom's business. The two talked as if they had known each other forever, yet their relationship was still fairly new. It's kind of like your souls have known each other all along, and all it took was a mutual friend to set them up on a blind date for their souls to be reunited. Jessie said on that day at the beach she realized he was more perfect of a man than she could have ever dreamt of. And when you look at these photos you can tell Aaron feels the exact same way, just by the way he looks at her.

Lighthouse Sound is very near to my heart, as my husband and I were there the evening right before we got engaged. Every time I find myself back there for a wedding I cannot help but be a little more excited because of my own sweet memories.

Pam and CJ are the true definition of young love. They were so giddy and full of laughter and love, it's good medicine for the soul. The tears that were filling his eyes as his Bride slowly crept up behind him to have a 'no-peek first look,' was as Kenny Chesney would say, "the good stuff." They held on to each other and whispered back and fourth about how they were so happy to be beside one another, how much they've missed each other all day and how they couldn't wait for him to finally see her. Right before Pam turned around to get tucked back away in her bridal suite CJ did something that completely won me over - he prayed over them and their upcoming marriage. From that very moment I knew that these two have a long happy marriage ahead of them. But that wasn't the only indicator. You've heard rain on your wedding day is considered good luck, right? Well while shooting the girls outside out of nowhere came this cloud that suddenly opened up ever so gently on us, not once but twice (but we were prepared the second time). We all hightailed it back to the building, and those bridesmaids of hers were a true example of good friends. You know what they did? They sat her down and re-curled the hairs that had fallen flat because of the shower that sprung upon us. I snapped images left and right and couldn't help but think of what a happy memory this will make - and the luck that was being shared. And to make the day that much better, the storms that were threatening their outside ceremony cleared off moments before it began. That wasn't luck at all my friends.

Thank you, Pam and CJ so very much for including me in your wedding day!

I can remember how excited I was when Leah told me about her venue choice and how many people I have told since then that I was shooting a wedding at the Salisbury Zoo! Since meeting with Leah and Ryan I was envisioning what the day would look/feel like, but my high expectations were exceeded.

But this story isn't about me, it's all about Leah and Ryan. She explained to me that last year how the two of them went to Zoobilation (why had I never heard of this before?!) and that after leaving there she couldn't stop thinking about how much fun was had. Good food, cold drinks and animals all around. Shortly after they decided that the Salisbury Zoo is where they would want to marry and celebrate the night with all their favorite people. Not to mention this is the FIRST EVER wedding to be held there. Such an honor!

As Leah was getting ready in her room, her Momma was just sitting there, staring at her baby with the biggest smile on her face. And she says, "if you have a little girl one day and you get to see her like this, just you wait." Shew. If there weren't tears pouring then, definitely after pulling out her Mommom's bracelet, who wasn't able to be present at her wedding, to wear as her something borrowed. It was so special. When she walked downstairs to her Daddy, he was so cute. Seeing them hug on to each other was a touching moment.

Ryan has this larger than life smile, and I didn't think it was possible for it to get any bigger, but when he saw his bride, let's just say he changed my mind. And that smile was glued to his face permanently all night. He could not stop staring at her and I loved it.

The whole tent was filled with so much love for these two, as was the dance floor when DJ Goni got the party started. There was so much dancing. And when Spice Girl's was played, I can attest that almost every single groomsmen sang it at the top of their lungs, word for word. And not only were people dancing on their feet, they were also dancing on their heads. hahaha. I've never seen such things, but I'm glad I did.

Thank you Leah and Ryan for allowing me to document one of the best days ever.
