shockley wedding / snow hill, maryland

I never have attended - and not too sure I ever will - an Earth Day celebration that comes close to this one. Alexa and Ethan did the day justice (huge understatement). I can remember walking into the Burbage Barn the day of their wedding and literally stood there while my mouth fell all the way to the floor. It was over the top gorgeous. Each and every detail and I adored the cleverness of their 'let love grow' favors filled with seeds to be planted by the guests post ceremony. But the wood beam hanging over the farmhouse tables sealed the deal for me. It could have taken photos of it from every angle possible (and probably did) and then still wanted to take more. I couldn't get enough of it. Despite the drizzly rain that seemed to linger most of the day, the girls were still willing to run outside for a few photos (my kind of girls) and the guys hung around with beers in hand without even noticing the sprinkles coming from the sky (my kind of guys). A few things that will stick with me about this day includes Alexa's Daddy getting down and putting her shoes on her, her Momma's card that made everyone in the room cry even if they weren't the ones reading it, and the laughter that literally roared from the groomsmen when they realized that Ethan's collar was popped on his jacket (obviously not on purpose). It was all good stuff.

Here's to many more fun-filled Earth Day's and making all of the flowers and love grow!
